The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:
“The believer is not given to cursing, slandering or obscene and foul speech.”

Default salaam from t-dot

asalaamu aleykum
i came across a link to this site from khutbah.com
been into Islam a year and a bit now, after some hardships. Allah blessed me with some knowledge after years of ignorance. Trying to figure out a means to apply that knowledge back into the fold of Islam

studied math, psych and writing and U of T. grew up here, not a fob. hmm what else. i managed to drop music and some other bad habits, but i still love my car. insha'Allah if i let it go, Allah will replace it with something better.

learning about patience this Ramadan. that's been going well, alhumdulillah. but i havent kept up with my memorization goals. looks like i'll have to pull an all nighter. lol

so then...
who are you and why are u on this forum?

Greetings bro - Here is a good du'aa` to recite before ending your prayers:

‘O Allaah, help me to remember You, to thank You, and to worship You in the best of manners.’

و الله يا معاذ اني احبك فلا تدعن في دبر كل صلاة ان تقول اللهم اعني على ذكرك و شكرك و حسن عبادتك

Just filled in the blanks... I love how the Prophet (saw) showed that when you love someone for the sake of Allah - you benefit them towards coming closer to Him.
