Ok so its not going to be as detailed.. and he brings it from a point of view that isn't known? .. do you know what sources he uses for this audio? ... I mean, as long as what he's saying is reliable in shaa Allah. I notice a lot of people compare any CD set/series to Imam Anwar Al-Awlaki's sets ... and they're usually disappointed ... apparently nothing really matches the quality in delivery as his does. What happened was I was searching for audio on the Mothers of the Believers on www.aswatalislam.net and the ENTIRE audio for this CD set came up.. but it wasn't listed under Suhaib Webb.. so basically it was on their server.. but they were in the process of removing it. So I downloaded the entire thing to my laptop.. and everything was going well .. until my dad decided to try and "fix" my laptop without telling me... and in his process of "fixing" it .. he completely wiped out my hard drive and I lost all of my files - which put an end to my audio experience because by that time they had removed the files. Khair in shaa Allah.. For those in California or Michigan - Suhaib Webb is giving Qiyaam at a Masjid in California (I believe in ICOC - Islamic Center of Orange County) October 14th .. and then he's flying over to Michigan to give a talk after the Unity Dinner (with Habeeb Quadri) on the 15th, afterwhich he will be leading Taraweeh, and then having a Qiyaam that night .. (not sure where the Qiyaam will be yet)... and a lecture after Fajir I believe to close it all up in shaa Allah. |

The
person just mentioned that it had issues. I asked the same question and
he would not really explain. But he is trustworthy. InshaAllah I will
find out what he ment by "issues".

Well,
you're right - not many ppl match up to Imam Anwar. But it isn't really
the style of delivery that i'm talking about - its more to do with
amount content.
I don't recall hearing anything on the CDs that made me sit up and think "hey that sounds wrong." One of my friends who is an old pro in the field of islamic work really, really rates this product highly.

I heard him do a talk at a JIMAS iftaar once called Despair Not Of The Mercy Of Allaah..., and he was amazing Masha'Allah - and that's a word I usually reserve for Anwar Awlaqi.

I'm laughing right now : D ... this is funny.. this is really funny .. subhanAllah the way things work.
JazakAllahu Khairan for linking it Umm Khubayb.. I believe those are indeed the same ones.. after three pages of posts.. you've simply linked us to it... but thats not even the funny part ... : D The really uncanny part is... that I have the set laying right now besides me... (it's a pretty tite design ma shaa Allah) .. because I happened to mention it during an Iftaar at our masjid tonight to one of my really good friends.. and she happened to have it in her car ... and she happened to have finished listening to it .. so right now.. it just happens to be next to me as I type this. SubhanAllah. At least other people can benefit from the link as well : ) May Allah SWT preserve you sis Another weird thing... I mentioned Jamal Badawi earlier.. and I just found out there is a dinner tomorrow that he's speaking at.. that along with getting the CD set and also going to the Suhaib Webb event next week.. its sort of weirding me out.. but I'm not complaining ... : D Alhamdulillah for everything. |

Semantics aside, I realize now that I do have issues with Hesham al-Awadi. Amazingly, or ironically, they would be the same exact issues that someone - perhaps such as yourself - might have with AlMaghrib and the EmanRush corporation.

See
the difference between you and I is that you're "not sure" I own the
previous one... whereas I am indubitably sure that I own it.
I didn't think I had to point out exactly where in the dictionary it presented the fact of my ownership of the word, seeing as how I'm dealing with one as intelligent as yourself.. (evident through the syntax of your last post I must say.. to point out more readily ... here =>probably to your existence upon this earth... and here => and between you and I, really shines badly upon yourself...) but I digress.. let me kindly post it for you ... with a red box that you can't really miss unless... well.. lets not go there. As to the insinuation that I stole its ownership.. all I have to say is.. "I am not a Crook" .. and you see, that statement makes it that much more valid. Alhamdulillah. In regards to your reference of AlMaghrib and EmanRush, all I have to say is ... how's that discreet thing working for you? ehm. |
