Wa alaikum assalaam,

Well you have already taken the first step by realizing that you need help. In this section (Seeking Naseeha), you will find some threads about improving in your faith. You should also remember that you should never despair as Allah is the All-Merciful. There is always time to repent and change. Do you have any specific issues you need to talk about? Also seeing that you are a sister, perhaps one of the other sisters on this forum may be willing to email/chat with you in private if you feel more comfortable with that.

I am extremely happy that you have come to this forum seeking help. I hope we can benefit you and you can benefit us. Welcome to the forums.

You should also remember that there are plenty of good muslims (and Allah knows best what is in their hearts) that used to do every sin, major and minor, that you can imagine. People can change.

as-salaamu 'alaykum my sister,

Welcome sister . Ok you need help, so please tell us more about exactly what kind of help you need so that we can help you inshaa'Allaah. Maybe you should post in the Muslimah section (Female section). Anyhow, if you give us the rough location of where you live, we may be able to locate for you some help.

Sister, remember the words of Allaah:

Quote:
يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ اسْتَعِينُواْ بِالصَّبْرِ وَالصَّلاَةِ إِنَّ اللّهَ مَعَ الصَّابِرِينَ

153. O ye who believe! seek help with patient perseverance and prayer; for Allah is with those who patiently persevere.

depression doesnt exist

what help was there for our mothers when they were going thru bad times?

did they fall to the floor and say i give up, im suffering

did they commit suicide?

No, they fought on to live another day

These days we all complain about this depression, unless ur a psycho

ur not depressed!

I used to be depressed alot when I wasn't muslim, so I remember what it is like.

We sometimes tell others that we are depressed in order that we can have someone there for us. Depression sometimes can come about when one feels alone in this world.

Allah(swt) is there when no one else is and we should rely on Him(swt) first and foremost. Do you want to speak to Allah and Him speak to you? Well you can have this happen. When you want to speak to Allah(swt) you can make salah or make du'a ect ect. When you wish to have Allah(swt) speak to you, go to the Quran and see what Allah(swt) says to you,"yes I said You".

We also have the Prophet(saws) in his words(hadith). Just read bukhari and Muslim.

Think about what He(saws) did for this Ummah. You are included in this. When Rasulullah(saws) made du'a for the Ummah do you think you were not included? If you are part of this Ummah then you are part of this du'a inshaAllah.

Think about the fact that you are a muslim and that there are billions that are not. Allah(swt) chose you to be muslim over all those people! Allahu Akbar! You are someone cause you are muslim and Allah(swt) made you that way for a reason.

Just think about it...
